As part of the Micropower program, i.e., as an external Project participant, Dr. Yixin Yan (Southeast University, China) conducted a scientific visit to the Greece, Prof. Ioannis Fotidis’ lab, actively participating in the research activities and contributing to the ongoing experiments. The visit was further enriched by meetings, lab tours, and presentations, providing a deeper understanding of the ongoing research initiatives.
During the visit, the Principal Investigator engaged in fruitful discussions with Yixin Yan, exchanging insights on enhancing microorganism consortiums, biogas optimization, and resource recovery technologies. This interaction not only facilitated knowledge sharing but also helped explore new perspectives and potential ideas in the field of sustainable energy and environmental biotechnology. The discussions emphasized the importance of microbial-driven processes and optimizing anaerobic digestion technologies for enhanced methane production and waste valorization. This scientific research highlighted the novelty of the MICROPOWER project visit and further reinforces the significance of international partnerships in advancing scientific research and technological innovation
